The numbers of properties and also the location of property within Hertford Housing management have steadily increased over recent years.

Market rent

These residential properties are primarily located in London, and consist of quality refurbished houses and apartments. Rents range between £555 and over £3000 per month.

Commercial

The Commercial units vary greatly in type and size and are let to a range of tenants on medium to long term full repairing and insuring leases. The properties are located mainly in London but also in all other parts of the country.

Intermediate rented

These residential properties are let to tenants at rents below market rent – usually 80% of that figure. Generally such properties are suited to key workers who are looking for starter accommodation but also include the Mortgage Rescue portfolio as detailed in the next section.

Mortgage rescue

These properties are a result of the Government initiative to allow home owners to avoid repossession. The property will be bought by Sanctuary Group with the owner converting to an assured shorthold tenancy agreement, with a right to buy back built into the arrangement.

Keyworker accommodation

This accommodation consists of street houses located mainly within London.
